About the Department:

Geeta University is offering Graduate programme leading to B.Sc. (Hons) in Agriculture. Post graduate programmes leading to M.Sc. and Ph.D in different disciplines of agriculture. It is recognized as one of the “Best Department of Agriculture” in Haryana, for its excellence in academics and research. The prime objective is to foster research and collaboration that will provide opportunity for global experience and to facilitate advancement of knowledge on the basis of short term courses, interactions, field visits, trainings and demonstrations to the students. In Geeta University the curriculum structure is designed per the ICAR-V Deans’ Committee Recommendations. Here we taught all courses infused with practical with emphasis on ‘hands on experience and learning by doing field work. The college provides an atmosphere not only for healthy academic activities but also for all-round growth and development of student’s personality. The university has followed a system of education that provides a great deal of openness transparency, flexibility and possibilities for growth. Apart from teaching, the college is also involved in research, extension and consultancy.

Programme Educational Objectives (PEO)
  • To understand and be acquainted with several aspects in the field of agriculture to lead a successful career in industry or as an entrepreneur or to pursue higher education.
  • To effectively use English language and to articulate the ideas both in oral and written communication.

  • Imparting the knowledge of agriculture and allied sciences related to subject in the current scenario of agriculture.
